Update

So we were scheduled to go to Mexico on Saturday on a cruise but with this swine flu everyone is freaking out and we are not sure if we will be able to go.
So Carnival is updating us today on whether or not the cruise will still take place and is assuring us that they are taking all precautions in safety. If I do go i will just have to stay on the ship and not get (per that is the advise of my dr). If they do not cancel we will have to go otherwise we will not get our money back but I guarentee u I will be very sad if we dont go bc I was SOO looking forward to this VACATION!!!!!!

  1. Even if you stay on the boat you're really putting yourself at risk. All those people that got off and got back on can still get you sick, so please please be careful! Getting the flu while pregnant is NOT fun!

  2. Ashley is right... getting the flu while pregnant is dangerous, especially early on. I am not an alarmist, but I know how devastated you would be if something happened. Is there such thing as a rain check (maybe for when Baby Collins is a little older) or would you lose ALL of your money if you backed out?

You could always come to San Antonio and ride the Comal River Barge. It's ALMOST the same as a Carnival cruise? Ok, maybe not so much.

  3. A 23-mo-old died in Texas overnight... I am not usually one to get caught up in hype... but my sis-in-law just got a notice that her Carnival Cruise may be cancelled as well... She is SUPER bummed too.
